Flawless. Great For Music Manuscript2010-06-175 / 5
I bought what appears to be a domestic Japanese version of the Zebra pen (branded "Surari" with Japanese barcode?) at a bookstore in New Jersey and have used it exclusively since. It produces a near-caligraphic line like a fine nib pen - but without the scratchy touch. The medium .7 mm gauge tip is perfect for music manuscript on standard-sized staves.

These pens would also make fine drawing tools that are much cleaner to use for crosshatching than traditional pen and dipping ink.

The black ink is truly black; the flow is very steady, the tip stays clean and a light touch will give you a lot of control. Retraction feels solid and the pen diameter is thicker than a classic ballpoint but not as stubby as some of the larger rollerballs.

Nothing against New Jersey but I'm happy to find I can get a box of these same pens online for a great price!
Wonderful pens for a thick, black gel line2009-05-155 / 5
I actually found these pens to be excellent and didn't have any problems fiddling with them to get them to write. While they aren't refillable, which makes them kind of expensive, since I write a lot of notes. However, once again Zebra has shown they know how to make awesome pens. The line is strong, dark, and quick-drying. They also don't feel awkward in my hand and I don't cramp as much from using them.

I'm going to have to purchase some more soon, I only have 3 left. :)
HORRIBLE PENS2008-10-121 / 5
These pens should be taken off the market. You have to play around with the tip before they write each time you go to use the pen. Not worth a dime.
