| Device died after 3 months. WD will replace it with a new one, but I'm on my own to find and pay for data recovery, which is why I thought I bought this thing in the first place. Thanks for nothing Western Digital! |

| Too Slow......You need incredible patience for your WD Passport | 2010-03-04 | 3 / 5 |

I bought this product because I thought the size is an advantage. I should have read the reviews more carefully since I noticed that someone has already written in his review saying that it is slow. I tried to move a 10G file into my passport, it says "2 hours remaining". That's a disaster......
Also, my passport is not the smallest portable hard drive that is available currently. For those who want a small and fast drive, try other brand!!! |

| Bought this item a while back. Not heavily used since. Today I plugged in to my laptop and I had this "click of death.' Basically it becomes piece of junk. |

| After using once, and unfortunately moving a huge number of personal files to this drive, the drive crapped out. When connecting the second time, the drive spins but is not recognized on my pc. Apparently there is a known problem (search for reviews on [...]) with the hard drive casing and the fix is to remove the Western Digital casing and place the hard drive in a SATA case. WD support was not at all helpful, requiring I spend $14.95 just to speak to their tech support. I plan on staying away from this and any other WD product. |
